Troubleshooting and FAQ

For organizers

Why can't an attendee see the evaluation?

Check these in order:

CheckWhere
Is it Enabled? The Status column in the list.
Is it open now?Start Date and End Date. Before the start, nobody sees it. After the end, only people who already answered see it.
Is the attendee in the target audience?Target Audience on the Overview. Compare it with the attendee's package and roles.
Is Require event attendance on?Then the attendee must have been checked in at the event at least once.
Is the attendee registered and paid?Abstract-only accounts and unpaid or refunded registrations can't see evaluations.
Are they using the mobile app?The app only shows the event's first evaluation. Point them to the attendee portal.

See Who sees an evaluation and when for the details.

Why can't I change the questions?

Because someone has already answered. Save Changes fails with "Cannot edit an evaluation that has submitted answers". Clone the evaluation, change the questions on the copy, and switch off the original.

Why can't I delete the evaluation?

An evaluation with responses can't be deleted ("Cannot delete an evaluation that has submitted answers"). Edit it and switch off Enabled instead. Attendees stop seeing it and the report stays.

Can I change the dates or audience after people have answered?

Yes. Only the questions are locked. Everything on the Edit form can change at any time.

Why does the Responses number not match my attendee count?

Responses counts attendees who answered at least one question. To see how many could answer, open the Report: Eligible is everyone in the audience, and Response Rate compares the two.

Why is Completed lower than Responded?

Completed only counts people who answered every required question. This usually happens when attendees answer some question groups in the mobile app, which submits one group at a time.

Do attendees get an email when an evaluation opens?

No. EventBeez doesn't send evaluation notifications. Send an email from the Messaging Center yourself.

Can I see who said what?

The report and both exports show results without names. The evaluation can't be made anonymous, though: every answer is stored against the attendee who gave it.

I cloned an evaluation and attendees can already see the copy

Clones are always Enabled. If the dates are open, attendees see the copy straight away. Edit it and change its dates, or switch it off until it's ready.

For attendees

I can't find the evaluation

If there's no Evaluations card on your dashboard, nothing is available for you right now. The evaluation may not be open yet, may have closed, may not be meant for your role or package, or may need you to check in at the event first. Ask the organizer.

It says "Please set a score" but I moved the slider

Click directly on the number you want, or drag the slider's handle. A slider you haven't touched has no value, even though it looks like it's at the lowest number.

I want to change my answers

Open the evaluation and click Edit and resubmit. If that button isn't there, the organizer didn't allow resubmission, or the evaluation has closed. See See and change your answers.

I submitted but didn't get a certificate

See Why there's no certificate.

The mobile app shows a different evaluation from the portal

The mobile app only shows the event's first evaluation. Use the attendee portal to see all of the evaluations meant for you.
